your role we
are looking for a head of carpentry and props to lead all stage
carpentry and props operations for one of our signature live
entertainment productions.
this position oversees a team of
technicians and ensures safe and efficient operations,
collaborating closely with the artistic and technical directors to
deliver outstanding performances.
key responsibilities: - supervise
all carpentry and props activities during set-ups, rehearsals, and
performances.
- serve as the lead stagehand/carpenter during live
shows and rehearsals.
- collaborate with the artistic team and
other technical departments to ensure smooth execution.
- ensure
compliance with local and international stage safety standards.

develop training programs and succession plans for the technical
team.
- maintain, inspect, and document all sets and props
equipment.
- manage procurement of tools, materials, and
replacement equipment following internal policies.
- support the
technical director in hiring, budgeting, and forecasting.
- use
inventory systems and internal tools to manage equipment and
maintenance records.
ideal candidate profile: - education:
technical degree or university studies in a relevant field, or
equivalent professional experience.
- experience: - 5+ years in the
entertainment or live performance industry.
- 3+ years in a
leadership or supervisory role.
- proven experience working with
live performances, sets, and props.
technical knowledge &
skills: - advanced knowledge of carpentry and prop-making
techniques for live shows.
- proficient in operating shop machinery
and power tools.
- familiar with materials and chemicals used in
set/prop construction.
- knowledge of rigging and acrobatic
equipment handling.
- general understanding of stage automation
systems.
- solid grasp of local and international safety
regulations.
- comfortable using microsoft office applications.
