we're building a project for market leading large germany based company with 440,000 customers worldwide.
*responsibilities*:
- provide onboarding support and operational guidance for postgresql databases (aws & azure) to our internal database teams
- help in finding ways to optimize and improve performance of databases
- provide reporting on various metrics: availability, usage, and performance
- continuous improvement and documentation of existing processes and standards
*skills*:
must have
- your qualifications:
- minimum 7 years of professional experience as a database administrator
- solid understanding and experience with postgresql (aws, azure). Certifications are a definite asset
- good knowledge of azure sql
- good knowledge of scripting languages/automation
your experience:
- strong experience working in cloud environments such as azure, aws and gcp
- strong experience in providing or supporting postgresql database services in public cloud or private cloud
- experience in implementation of best practices and performance tuning
- experience working in a high availability environment (24x7)
your skills:
- comfortable with customer facing situations
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- able to work in a team environment but also able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
- ability to work under pressure when needed
