Ensure that purchase goods, materials and services and company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. You will hold responsibility for a specific project/region/business. You will deliver tactical activities of purchasing goods and services off of defined contracts with stated terms and conditions. Also may include occasional one-off negotiations for non-standard buys, low dollar volume buys or items that are not strategically sourced.
*key responsibilities*:
- drive supplier material delivery in line with honeywell requirements. Plans, schedules, and administrates purchase orders to ensure material is delivered on time.
- deploy and drive supplier look ahead process to proactively review demand-supply to identify & resolve material supply gaps
- manage supplier forecast and po acknowledgement process through honeywell web portal.
- develops supplier relationships and drive supplier performance. Develop rails, track completion status, and escalate as necessary to eliminate barriers to performance.
- key metrics include supplier ottr, % po acknowledgment, demand-supply look ahead alignment, past due, decommits and delivery alignment to order policy.
- ensure material delivery is in line with material order policy.
- plans and schedules purchase orders in accordance with the production requirements as shown in the sap erp system.
- liaise with sourcing and all other interfacing organizations to plan, coordinate and implement strategies for all supply chain activities related to fulfilling manufacturing and aftermarket requirements, including technical, manufacturability and quality related issues related to delivery of material.
- escalate within supplier and honeywell for demand-supply gaps.
- works closely with planners on the administration of material replenishment plans including vmi, kanban etc
- researches and provides constant feedback to department and management relative to material shortages and supplier's capacity and capabilities.
- demonstrates an active commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of quality, cost, delivery and lead time.
- have effective interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employees and management. High degree of confidence, objectivity, tact, diplomacy and ethical conduct is essential.
- demonstrated ability in negotiations, planning and hardware administration procedures
- ability to organize work, document and/or report concisely and accurately and be thorough in carrying out the responsibilities of the job.
- managing site-based supplier recovery action and rcca's
- responsible to resolve all emergency site part shortages and issues due to supply chain deliveries.
- providing team or leadership with daily status on part shortage issues/ resolutions
- issuing and managing subcontract purchase orders for consigned details, raw material, castings, forgings hon supplied parts to suppliers.
you must have:
- bachelor's degree in business or technical field;
- 3+ years of procurement or isc experience
- ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal/external customers at all levels in independent and often stressful situations
- knowledge in castings/forgings supply base is a plus.
- experienced at vendor follow-up. Acts as intermediary between vendors and internal customers at multiple sites to resolve fabrication, cost and schedule issues, to satisfy customers
