General objective of the position.the mission of the position is to lead, plan, coordinate, implement and control all supply chain activities and functions to meet budget and supply chain targets (e.g. maximize delivery performance, reduce cost and inventories) and to represent the plant towards internal and external contacts regarding scm topics. The head of scm plant initiates, manages and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all supply chain relevant processes. Specific responsibilities. Lead all supply chain activities and processes for the plant define the plant supply chain strategy and translate into action plans based on plant, ba and gs strategy (contribution) implement and monitor gs and ba specific policies, procedures and standards for scm set plant specific scm standards and requirements towards external and internal contacts and ensure implementation based on gs and ba scm standards initiate and manage plant scm optimization measurements to improve the efficiency, reliability, and cost situation in cross-functional teams contribute to strategy, budget and forecast planning of the plant (e.g. with respect to investments, inventory, scm cost, capacity, and headcount planning) define scm plant targets and ensure the achievement under consideration of internal and external customer expectations and contribution initiate and implement continuous improvement activities e.g. by layout planning and simulation (e.g. logistics processes, production planning and control methods) by applying cbs methods and training measures according to standards plan and implement supply chain and logistics concepts (e.g. sourcing and delivery concept, requirements regarding flexibility of production setup and machine investments, flow and storage concept into and out of production, material transportation and provision concept) according to e.g. production control plan, layout and standards in close cooperation with manufacturing engineering function support and execute all related siop-activities within master planning and demand and supply balancing (e.g. provide capacity information or execute supply adjustments) represent the plant towards internal and external contacts regarding scm topics (i.e. process requirements) initiate, participate in and/or steer local supply chain related and cross-functional projects participate actively in the activities of environment, safety & health (esh) lead change management for plant scm ensure plant scm is compliant and actively monitor scm activities to certify compliance qualifications bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, business engineering or related discipline advanced level of english is required ( interviews will be in english ) 5 or more years of professional experience in various supply chain and logistics functions cross-functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, purchasing, project management or cbs preferred not required knowledge in microsoft office products a must (testing may be required by country) at least 3 years' experience working within sap / or other erp systems 3 or more years in a leadership position, preferably with functional or disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.
