We are seeking an experienced senior global category manager – metals to lead the global sourcing strategy for metal-related components and raw materials. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives across key categories such as raw materials, stamping, machining, and other critical metal and mechanical components. Main responsibilities develop and lead the global category strategy for metal components and raw materials, ensuring alignment with engineering, product development, and operations. Coordinate with regional procurement teams across north america, europe, and asia to ensure consistent execution of sourcing strategies and competitive supplier evaluations. Conduct global market analysis, monitor industry trends, and assess technology developments to support strategic sourcing decisions. Identify and develop strategic supplier partnerships that support quality, cost, delivery, and innovation objectives. Collaborate closely with r&d, engineering, quality, and operations to ensure suppliers meet technical, quality, and compliance requirements. Implement best-in-class sourcing methodologies, cost modeling, and procurement practices. Qualifications bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, electronics, or a related field. Master’s degree or mba preferred. 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, including at least 5 years in a global category management role for metal or mechanical components. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance management skills. Experience working in a matrixed organization and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders such as engineering, project management, quality, finance, and sales conversational english proficiency (written and spoken).
