But we're only at the beginning—this is a chance to shape brands that will define the next decade.job summary: the human resources generalist will be responsible for providing comprehensive hr support across multiple areas, including recruitment, pre-payroll processing, time and attendance control, employee relations, and coordination with other departments such as production, warehouse, and administration. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities: recruitment & staffing: manage end-to-end recruitment for hourly and salaried positions (job posting, screening, interviewing, onboarding). Collaborate with department leaders to understand staffing needs and ensure timely hiring. Pre-payroll & attendance: review and validate time and attendance records for accuracy before payroll processing. Support the payroll process by coordinating with the finance/payroll team and ensuring all changes (absences, vacations, overtime, bonuses) are accurately captured. Hr administration: maintain and update employee files and records (both digital and physical). Support with preparation of hr reports and internal communications. Ensure compliance with company policies and local labor law requirements. Employee relations: assist in handling employee inquiries and resolving basic hr issues. Support communication and coordination between hr and other areas such as production, warehouse, maintenance, and quality. Training & development: coordinate induction and onboarding programs for new employees. Support hr initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention. Additional duties: support hr projects and audits. Be available to work overtime or flexible hours when required to meet operational needs. Requirements: bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in an hr generalist or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of mexican labor law and hr operational processes. Experience with recruitment, pre-payroll, and time & attendance systems. Proficient in microsoft office and hris/payroll systems (e.g., nomipaq, tress, sap, etc.). English: intermediate level (able to communicate in meetings and read/write basic correspondence). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Gender: not important – open to male or female candidates. Availability: must be able to work overtime or extended hours when required. Preferred qualifications: previous experience in manufacturing or maquiladora industry. Knowledge of iso or similar quality management systems. Experience supporting hr audits or compliance activities.
