*position summary*
the trims manager will be responsible for the timely delivery of all trims and packaging materials within their scope of responsibility, to ensure customer-specific requirements, per vendor guidelines, are properly sourced and facilitated to the print contractors.
*essential duties and responsibilities*
- coordination with cross-functional teams (i.e., account management, production, printers, and trims teams) to ensure all trim and packing components required by the contractor are delivered on time to meet production deadlines
- responsible for managing the trims work in progress (wip) report to ensure timely communication regarding trim status and work in progress orders
- responsible for sourcing trim for new production orders and reworks and confirming execution and delivery by the requested dates
- responsible for issuing trim purchase orders (pos) to trim suppliers and confirming execution and delivery by the requested dates
- developing and maintaining partnerships with strategic trim suppliers that include price negotiation, supplier onboarding and approval processes, and adherence to all customer specific trim, labeling, and packing requirements
- responsible for issuing trim pull sheets to mad engine mexico and fortune trims teams and confirming execution and delivery by the requested dates
- identifying and maintaining trim inventory levels that align with company goals
- ensuring accuracy of information received from cross-functional teams and communicated to print contractors to prevent packing errors
- correspondence with all print contractors to ensure proofs of delivery (pod's) are being provided to the inventory control team
- responsible for communication of pending orders or potential issues that would prevent timely shipment of finished goods caused by trim challenges
- trouble shouting issues related to packaging and trim
- supervision of mad engine trims team and daily coordination with mad engine mexico and fortune trims teams who are responsible for storage, movement and production of specific trims
- other duties assigned as needed
*minimum qualifications*
- either associates or bachelor's degree from accredited college, or equivalent related work experience
- apparel industry or related field preferred
- proficient in microsoft word, excel, and outlook
- demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication
- strong english language communication (written/verbal)
- excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- time management experience managing multiple tasks is required
