- reporting to the sr.
director supply chain management, strategic supply chain manager role involves directing planning, development, implementation and maintenance of processes & procedures within the organization related to supply chain management.
you will manage and oversee the methods and processes in support of both new and existing products.
- what a typical day looks like:
- participates in the review of vendor and customer contracts by outlining requirements and considerations.
- review data analysis related materials.
- participate with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives.
- direct the activities of supply chain managers and staff and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.
- interact regularly with executives, customers and vendors.
- drive supply chain management strategies to deliver customer requirements and maintain flex's financial competitiveness.
- provides supplier management as related to product development and integration.
- the experience we're looking to add to our team:
- ba/bs/mba or equivalent work experience.
- fluent english oral and written.
- automotive experiences is a must.
- project sourcing and design to cost.
- advanced functional, technical, people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of flex and related business.
- detail oriented
- customer facing (internal and external), supplier negotiation, inventory management, results driven
- previous customer facing experience is also a plus.
