Financial operations specialist
*job summary*
cimmyt is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional for the position of financial operations specialist to work in the business services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations across multiple business lines, ensuring efficient and effective financial processes.
*key responsibilities*
- develop and implement pricing models for hospitality services, conducting market research and competitor analysis to ensure competitive pricing.
- analyze and recommend cost-based pricing models for fleet services and procurement cost allocations, adjusting pricing structures based on seasonality and market trends.
- calculate detailed cost structures for hospitality services, fleet management, and procurement processes, developing and maintaining financial models to project costs, revenue, and profit margins.
- monitor budget compliance, track daily, weekly, and monthly revenue streams and operating expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities across all service lines.
- prepare and present periodic financial performance reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
*requirements*
- bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with a master's degree or professional certification preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, with exposure to hospitality, procurement, or fleet management operations, strong english language skills (c1) required.
- strong problem-solving abilities, proactive approach to identifying financial risks and opportunities, ability to manage multiple priorities, and deliver within tight deadlines.
- proficiency in budget management and financial analysis, proven experience in managing financial operations across multiple business lines, strategic thinker with a track record of implementing process improvements and cost optimizations.
