Software qa engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Software QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico.

You’ll be responsible for working on a team that does system-level E2E software solution testing (both manual and automation, with a focus on automation-based stress testing).

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience in the related field.
- Excellent understanding of Java development (core and advanced).
- Expertise in object-oriented design principles, related design patterns, and coding standards.
- Good knowledge of databases; SQL queries, preferably but not limited to Postgres/MS SQL Server/Oracle.
- Strong understanding of using and working with Jira, GitLab, and Confluence.
- Recent experience with Docker and container technology.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technology (GCP is preferred).
- Excellent team member with strong communication skills.
- A problem solver with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on getting things done.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

- Experience in the intralogistics domain.
- Knowledge of Node.js.
- Familiarity with HTML.

Responsibilities

- Drive and take ownership of tasks, working on scripting test cases (manual and automated), execute, and triage the solution-level tests.
- Take ownership of using best practices for automated test cases development and upkeep.
- Work with a cross-functional team to decompose software solution requirements.
- Document defects and work with development to validate fixes
- Assist in producing test status summaries.
- Work on enhancing automation test code.
