Design and develop electronic products based on customer requirements:
1. lead electrical design of the product during different stages according to apqp methodology.
2. create product specifications based on customer requirements.
3. collaborate with certification labs to obtain agency approvals such as fcc, ic, ce, arib, and others.
4. evaluate prototypes of designed circuits and parts, report gaps between product specifications and performance, and work on effective improvements.
5. contact suppliers to identify or develop special components based on product functions, e.g., lcd, battery, sensor, antenna.
6. define product inspection specifications based on specifications and performance.
7. participate in face-to-face meetings with customers and prepare presentation materials as needed.
8. participate in dfmea, design review, and design for manufacturability activities with cross-functional teams.
9. ensure timely delivery of all project milestones within specifications and budget. Create documentation for mass production, including boms, component specs, drawings, schematics, pcb layouts, and artworks.
10. provide technical support to manufacturing, material control, and quality assurance teams to sustain design in production.
11. collaborate with manufacturing engineering and quality teams to perform root cause analysis of product and electrical testing issues.
12. propose alternative components to support material control based on engineering considerations.
education: master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering (radio frequency, electronics, electromechanics, computer science). Iatf 16949 core tools training is preferable but not mandatory.
experience: at least 3 years in electronic rf product design in automotive, consumer electronics, medical, or industrial sectors.
skills: proficiency in schematics and pcb layout using altium designer, mentor graphics pads, or similar; experience with rf antenna design, simulations, and measurements; familiarity with rf transceiver evaluation tools; knowledge of serial communication protocols; experience with root cause analysis; familiarity with test automation tools like labview or python; proficiency in ms office, ansys hfss, teraterm/hyperterm.
