*job summary*:
*in this role, you will*:
- design, develop, and maintain complex data integration solutions to meet business requirements in a highly complex technical environment
- explore complimentary technologies to load and maintain geospatial databases and consume data from in-house and third-party apis.
- develop data quality checks and alerts to ensure the integrity of data loaded.
- collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure your code meets business needs and slas
- develop and execute test scenarios and test cases for unit and integration testing; analyze and resolve issues discovered and support code migration from development through production
work experience
*qualifications*:
- at least 5 years of experience as a data engineer using informatica powercenter to design, develop, test, and implement data integration solutions.
- demonstrated experience with informatica powercenter and some/many of the following
- oracle pl/sql
- korn shell (ksh) scripting or equivalent
- autosys
- sftp
- mainframe technologies (cobol / db2 / jcl)
- strong experience with relational database management systems required (oracle, sql server, db2/udb, etc.), including the ability to write efficient sql queries.
- strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- experience with scripting including unix shell scripting, python, and/or arcpy scripting or something similar
- experience with agile methodology, story refinement, task breakdown and sizing, etc.
- knowledge of and/or experience with the following is a plus:
- soap / rest service integration
- geospatial databases and data types (point, polyline, polygon)
- geospatial software solutions (i.e., precisely spectrum, esri arcgis or open-source equivalent tools/services)
- spatial data file formats (shapefile, gdb, geojson, geopackage, etc)
- qlik sense
