ntt data seeks a sap hana database specialist for a remote role based in mexico, méxico (mx-mex), mexico. This position will support sap customers in a comprehensive managed service, focusing on database administration, incident, problem management, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup & restore.
role responsibilities
- database administrator driving critical topics related to incident management, problem management, high availability, disaster recovery, backup & restore. - deliver operations services for sap customers. - act as a trusted database advisor: expert support during critical incidents, configuration recommendations, database escalations, and consultations. - share insights and learnings with the broader team.
experience & qualifications
* minimum 6+ years of database expertise.
* strong technical understanding of sap hana database and ase database platforms.
* experience troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis.
* knowledge of tracing techniques: sql trace, performance trace, runtime dump analysis, hana sql plan cache analysis.
* well organized, willingness to learn, own topics, and share knowledge.
* willingness to take on-call duties as required by business.
* understanding of hyperscalers is an added advantage.
* basic basis knowledge is a plus.
* experience with automation tools/scripting and processes.
* experience with db installations and upgrade, planning, setup, and implementation.
* providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning systems.
* understanding of security, backup & recovery strategies, performance tuning, system copies, high availability, disaster recovery strategy, export‑import, and replication.
* organize / structure day‑to‑day documentation.
* cloud knowledge (amazon web services, microsoft azure, google cloud platform) desirable but not essential.
