in this role, the candidate is required to have extensive experience with deployment tools for monthly patching, standard deployments, reporting, software packaging, security policies etc. for windows operating systems.
responsibilities:
* expert in desktop management
* expert in windows 10/11 related issues
* must have 3-5 years of technical expertise in administering various software deployment tools such as sccm, intune etc.
* must have experience with software packaging tools
* managing mass software distribution and troubleshooting failed deployments.
* managing end to end patching for end user devices at the global level.
* application and third-party patching.
* monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all desktop devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
* participate in triage calls for major incidents and help drive resolutions and follow-up with long term remediation.
* research and analyze new technologies. Establish and monitor short- and long-range plans for infrastructure solutions.
* conducting root cause analysis (rca) for the problems and ensure to avoid its reoccurrence.
* support, manage, optimize and maintain the configuration and installation of the desktop, to include, but not limited to, patch updates.
* frequent reporting of the deployments for stakeholders.
* manage desktop (software and connectivity) incidents through to resolution.
* experience in automations through powershell or python.
* strong itil process knowledge.
* strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* strong communication and collaboration skills.
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field preferred.
* strong working knowledge of itil principles and itsm.
* current understanding of industry trends and methodologies.
* outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
* excellent attention to detail.
* strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
* certification with any deployment tool – preferrable.
