your role and responsibilities
responsibilities
* design and develop solutions: design, code, debug, and test creative solutions to client problems and requirements, utilizing programming languages such as python, golang, and java.
* collaborative problem-solving: work collaboratively to understand requirements and deliver solutions, using agile practices and devops tooling to ensure world-class quality and resiliency.
* test and deliver offerings: unit test and deliver offerings for different versions of ibm fusion.
* debug and optimize: debug and optimize solutions using kernel debuggers and user-mode programming, ensuring strategic imperatives including artificial intelligence and cloud.
* 24x7 observability: be part of a worldwide team that monitors the health of production systems and services around the clock, ensuring continuous reliability and optimal customer experience.
* cross-functional troubleshooting: collaborate with engineering teams to provide initial assessments and possible workarounds for production issues. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
* create and maintain internal documentation for troubleshooting procedures, automation tools, and enhancement specifications.
* communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, clarify technical issues, and ensure satisfaction with resolution outcomes.
* design and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline support workflows and reduce manual intervention.
qualifications
* required: bachelor's degree
* preferred: bachelor's degree
* proven experience in customer support, technical support, or a client-facing role
* strong background in software development, demonstrating expertise in programming languages such as python, golang, java and shell scripting
* operating system concepts and virtualization: hands-on experience with linux operating system and computer virtualization
* strong skills in system monitoring, issue response, and troubleshooting for optimal system performance
* collaborative mindset with the ability to partner seamlessly with cross-functional teams for shared success
* excellent communication skills, essential for effective integration planning and swift issue resolution
* demonstrated excellence in problem-solving, with the ability to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions
* preferred: exposure to kubernetes or red hat openshift
* preferred: experience with cloud-based technologies, showcasing familiarity with modern cloud ecosystems and tools
* preferred: understanding of networking concepts
