Role purpose this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful delivery of hsbc cross-line of business (x-lob) and cib ctb programmes, ensuring alignment with value streams and hsbc’s control framework, mitigating programme risks, and ensuring end to end operational simplification and business value realization. The role holder will oversee a team of hbmx transformation programme managers and business analysts to ensure the successful management and delivery of multiple, complex x-lob and cib transformation initiatives. Main activities this role will carry out some or all of the following activities: drive the delivery of complex operational and technological programmes, in close collaboration with key delivery partners, consistent high-quality execution and successful completion. Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks across the transformation portfolio. Lead post-implementation reviews and track benefits realization and budget performance. Manage communications and craft clear, strategic messages for senior stakeholders to reinforce transformation objectives and deliverables. Ensure value delivery aligned with hsbc’s strategic goals, business priorities, and financial objectives. Implement, and embed standardized transformation strategies, tools, and governance models. Promote an agile transformation culture and ensure adherence to hsbc’s control framework. Promote the adoption of ai-driven tools and methodologies to enhance productivity, accelerate delivery timelines, and strengthen strategic transformation decision-making. Drive innovative thinking and collaborative leadership in new ways of working across hbmx to optimize programme execution, delivery performance, and issue resolution, ensuring commitments are consistently achieved. Partner with value stream leads, technology, key business partners and senior stakeholders across businesses and functions, to translate strategic priorities into executable transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. Drive accountability for transformation delivery, accelerating progress on milestones, managing interdependencies, and ensuring proactive risk and issues resolution to minimize impact on strategic objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, promoting simplification of processes, operational consistency, and improved client experience. Build and sustain strong stakeholders’ relationships through transparent, consistent, and collaborative communication, ensuring alignment of strategic direction and informed decision-making.
