we are a mission-driven provider of fully furnished 1–3 bedroom apartments located within ~2 miles of a major medical center in houston, texas.
we serve patients and families traveling for cancer treatment, surgery, and transplants—providing a supportive home during critical medical journeys.
we currently operate ~70 apartments across 7 locations and are scaling toward 100+ units.
this is not a short-term rental business; it's a purpose-built housing solution for families when they need it most.
the role
we're hiring a marketing & growth manager to work directly with the ceo to drive revenue growth through hands-on digital marketing execution, listing optimization, and business development research.
this is an execution-first role with clear deliverables and performance metrics tied to revenue and occupancy outcomes.

core responsibilities
optimize listings across platforms (airbnb, vrbo, google business profile, and others)
improve titles, descriptions, seo keywords, amenity highlights, and photos
monitor and professionally respond to all guest reviews
track ranking, visibility, and conversion rate changes
conduct weekly competitor audits (pricing, amenities, positioning)
identify opportunities to increase booking rates
2) email & text marketing (25%)
build and segment email lists (past guests, inquiries, referral partners, medical institutions)
create automated follow-up sequences using an email marketing platform
design and send monthly newsletters (availability, testimonials, updates)
develop referral campaigns to drive repeat bookings and word-of-mouth
track open rates, click rates, and campaign performance
3) content repurposing & social media (20%)
repurpose ceo long-form video into short-form clips for social media
create graphics/posts in canva (property highlights, testimonials, tips for medical travelers)
schedule content across platforms (e.g., facebook, instagram)
support community management (facebook groups, reddit) with timely, empathetic
4) business development support (15%)
research new lead channels and revenue opportunities, including:
travel nurses and medical students
corporate housing partnerships
insurance-covered housing programs
hospital/clinic referral partnerships
build outreach contact lists and track communication
prepare research summaries and opportunity reports for ceo review
monitor trends in medical travel and temporary housing
5) reporting & performance tracking (10%)
maintain a weekly marketing performance dashboard in google sheets
identify performance gaps and flag issues for ceo attention
deliver concise weekly summaries highlighting wins and opportunities
success metrics (how you'll be measured)
increased qualified inquiries from target audiences (patients, families, medical professionals)
improved occupancy rates across properties
growth in email subscribers and engagement rates
increased referral and direct traffic to listings/website
higher listing engagement (views, saves, inquiries)
faster response times to inquiries and reviews
strong competitive insights and business development research quality

technical skills
canva proficiency
basic video editing (trimming, captions, exporting)
experience with email marketing platforms (mailchimp, constant contact, or similar)
strong working knowledge of google sheets and clean data organization
familiarity with social media scheduling tools

excellent written english (high accuracy in grammar and tone)
highly organized; able to manage multiple workstreams reliably
self-starter; comfortable operating independently with minimal supervision
empathy + professionalism (the audience includes medical patients and families)
