The design and drafting supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing a team of engineers responsible for delivering high-quality designs and drawings that meet the needs of global engineering, site technical offices, and customer operations.
key responsibilities:
* lead a team to deliver accurate and timely drawing design support
* promote strong communications between design teams and design authorities
* define, assign, measure, monitor, analyze, and report performance objectives for self and direct reports
* handle operations concession/deviation requests through prism/e-qms
* measure, mentor, and evaluate performance of team resources
* manage strategic alignment of team resources to achieve workflow demand and project priorities
* establish and maintain competency mapping and succession planning
* support departmental/global engineering strategic initiatives as required
requirements:
* a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field is necessary
* at least 5 years of experience as a senior engineer in a fast-paced project-driven work environment is mandatory
* strong decision-making ability and strategic planning experience are essential
* thorough understanding of industry standards, seal components, global engineering processes, fluid handling equipment, design standards, and process industry terminology is required
