- we are looking for a transportation analyst to join our supply chain team at wella company. This role is crucial in optimizing transportation operations, ensuring cost efficiency, and enhancing service levels across our supply chain network. Reporting to the transportation manager, you will analyze logistics data, collaborate with carriers and internal stakeholders, and drive process improvements to support our business growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can make a meaningful impact on our global supply chain strategy.
*key responsibilities*
- analyze transportation costs, trends, and service levels to identify optimization opportunities.
- collaborate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time and cost-effective deliveries.
- monitor key performance indicators (kpis) and develop reports to track transportation efficiency.
- support freight procurement activities, including carrier selection and contract & rates negotiations.
- ensure compliance with international and local transportation regulations.
- identify and implement process improvements to audit costs and enhance service levels.
- utilize data analytics tools to generate insights and support decision-making.
- stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transportation and logistics.
*qualifications*
- essential:
- bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- strong analytical skills with proficiency in excel, data visualization tools, and logistics software.
- experience working with transportation management systems (tms) and carrier cost performance tracking.
- knowledge of freight cost structures, carrier negotiations, and regulatory requirements.
- strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- desirable:
- experience in a global or multinational company.
- understanding of sustainability initiatives in transportation and logistics.
- familiarity with erp systems such as sap.
- proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
