role description
this is a full-time, on-site role for a sales and marketing specialist based in mexico city, mexico.
the individual will develop and execute marketing strategies to promote tourism services, establish and maintain strong client relationships, identify new sales opportunities, and provide exceptional customer service.
additional responsibilities include conducting market analysis, supporting sales campaigns, managing customer training, preparing sales reports, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve company goals.
what you will do?
1. Take charge of meeting specified sales targets, including revenue figures, gross profit margins, and tour quantities, to ensure performance compliance.
2. Proactively conduct regular client visits, gather latest industry and market insights, and submit reports to the management in a timely manner.
3. Take charge of actively promoting the company's brand image and product lines to enhance market awareness and sales conversion.
4. Proactively identify and develop potential clients within the assigned region, and deliver tailored professional consulting services to meet client needs.
5. Take charge of maintaining product service quality, promptly handling client-raised product needs, and following up to ensure satisfaction.
6. Undertake client retention and secondary development, properly handle and follow up on client complaints, and submit a formal email report to the management department within one working day of complaint receipt.
7. Exercise overall control over client quotation accuracy and manage client discount applications in accordance with company policies.
8. Track tour group details in real time and promptly process applications for same-day tour group changes or cancellations to ensure operational efficiency.
9. Submit accurate accounts receivable data and official documents in a timely manner; formally submit an accounts receivable adjustment form in case of any amount modification, in accordance with financial procedures.
10. Proactively follow up on and collect client payments, regularly track and summarize payment status, and effectively control bad debt risks to ensure cash flow stability.
11. Complete other relevant tasks assigned by the management in a timely and effective manner.
qualifications at least 1 year of relevant destination sales experience.
at least a college diploma or above.
strong learning ability, outstanding coordination skills, superior comprehensive analysis capabilities, and good command of english.
demonstrated ability to proactively develop new clients and retain existing ones, coupled with a strong service mindset and excellent relationship coordination capabilities.
proficiency in communication and customer service to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
strong sales and sales management skills for identifying opportunities and driving business growth.
experience in training and developing customer-focused strategies to enhance performance.
ability to conduct market analysis and implement innovative marketing strategies.
proven organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment.
fluency in spanish and english is required; additional language skills are a plus.
familiarity with the tourism industry and destination management services is highly desirable.
bachelor's degree in marketing, business, tourism, or a related field.
this is an on-site position, with possibility to hybrid position going forward and according to results.
your english skills are a priority.
you need to have proficiency in oral and writing skills.
the office is in anzures/polanco area.
