assures the lab equipment is functional and maintains a record of tests completed.
perform related activities for the well control of the plating process.
develops new analytical procedures for new chemistries.
maintains correct levels of inventory in lab reagents and chemicals for plating process.
writes production and lab procedures and job instructions.
- assures that plating bath concentrations are withing spec.
to run production.
- maintains the manufacturing job instruction (mji's) of the engineering function.
- use chem lab equipment and instrumentation for analysis.
- performs chemical testing for plating solutions.
- maintains appropriate records of testing processes.
- prepare laboratory reagents as needed.
- perform solvent resistance tests, adhesion test and related pain test.
- performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time
- maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
- maintain all chemical data and items in compliance.
- quote chemical items according with plating requirements.
- work with internal and external suppliers to achieve monthly plating demand.
- schedule, support and maintain records of pm's to production plating line.
- track chem lab metrics and drive lab process improvement.
- work hands on with operators as required to evaluate tool, procedures and new processes.
- provide expedient technical support to all areas of the company wherever required.
- contributes to product line objectives relating to product cost, scrap, labor efficiency and fpy.
- performs other duties as required.
experiência y requisitos
- engineering degree (chemical industrial).
- +3 years' experience desire in a laboratory environment for plating and painting process.
- basic knowledge in nadcap certification.
- self-motivated starter with demonstrated maturity and a good sense of responsibility and analytical skills.
- good communication skills and high degree of integrity.
- able to interface and work productively with all employees.
- ability to read and write english.
- must be well organized, detail oriented, knowledgeable of microsoft word, excel, powerpoint and outlook.
- familiar with business math, internet, calculator, copier, telephone.
- demonstrates an outstanding degree of judgment, organization, planning, initiative, flexibility and creativity.
- must maintain accuracy, concentration, alertness, and be detail oriented.
- must be able to work calmly and reasonably under pressure from demand for production and other exigencies.
- strong people skills, engagement with direct reports, teamwork, and others.
- strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
