Position overview we are seeking a highly skilled senior network engineer with deep expertise in network engineering, circuit migration, and network automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with cisco platforms, sdwan (velocloud), advanced routing and switching, and a proven track record in designing, migrating, and supporting complex enterprise networks. This role requires a proactive professional who can operate in a 24x7 environment, lead proof-of-concept (poc) initiatives, and drive automation using python and modern devops tools. Key responsibilities network engineering & design architect, design, and implement enterprise network solutions, including sdwan (velocloud), cisco isr/asr routers, catalyst switches, and asa firewalls. Lead and execute circuit migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitions. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues. Network automation develop and maintain automation scripts using python to streamline network operations and deployments. Utilize github and jenkins for version control and ci/cd pipelines in network automation projects. Sdwan & routing/switching deploy, configure, and support sdwan solutions (preferably velocloud). Expertly manage layer 3 and access layer switching, advanced routing protocols (bgp, eigrp), dns, and dhcp. Network management & monitoring operate and optimize cisco dna center, cisco ise, and cisco spaces. Use tools such as netbrain, solarwinds, splunk, and 7signal app suite for monitoring and troubleshooting. Conduct wireless network design and surveys using ekahau ai pro; ecse certification preferred. Support & operations provide 24x7 support for critical network infrastructure. Open and manage rma and tac cases with cisco and other vendors. Utilize ticketing systems such as servicenow and jira for incident and change management. Proof of concept & continuous improvement lead poc initiatives for new network technologies and solutions. Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures. Required qualifications bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering. Expert knowledge of cisco isr/asr routers, catalyst switches, asa firewalls, and sdwan technologies. Strong proficiency with cisco dna center, cisco ise, and cisco spaces. Deep experience with network automation using python, github, and jenkins. Experience with wireless network design and troubleshooting (ekahau ai pro, ecse certification preferred). Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools (netbrain, solarwinds, splunk, 7signal). Experience with ticketing systems (servicenow, jira). Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work in a 24x7 operational environment. Preferred skills experience with vco or other sdwan management solutions. Knowledge of cisco wireless technologies (aireos, ios-xe). Familiarity with aaa solutions and authentication protocols. Strong understanding of enterprise security best practices. Certifications (preferred) cisco certified network professional (ccnp) or higher cisco certified internetwork expert (ccie) ekahau certified survey engineer (ecse)
