production planner.
plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of more sophisticated models of industrial or commercial products: prepares timeline to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
responsibilities
* analyze production specifications and plant capacity data of smaller departments and work centers to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
* plan and schedule workflow for production operations and departments according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
* confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects and special orders. The planner 2 role will monitor the less involved project orders with lower profile and/or smaller dollar impact.
* expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
* prepare production reports and report out via written reports.
* track non-conformance reports for timely resolution.
* other duties as assigned.
requirements
* ba/bs degree preferred- business or technical.
* apics certification desirable.
* 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or materials management, including at least two years in materials management as a planner / master scheduler.
* spanish/english bilingual.
