in this role, your responsibilities will be:
1. conduct analysis of equipment and systems needs according to emerson standards, ensuring operating systems are the corporate versions.
2. maintain updated software versions on all equipment for the business unit, complying with regulations.
3. coordinate with the delivery service team to control hardware inventory in gams.
4. keep the infrastructure standards current following oneemerson global guidelines.
5. manage hardware inventory (computers, telecommunication, peripherals) with the delivery services team at gams.
6. review the status of onprem and solarwinds servers regularly.
7. control hardware unique to the business unit not registered in gams and monitor alarms.
8. lead contracts and payments for telephony services outside the scope of delivery service.
9. provide technical support to users, identifying needs and adjusting systems based on operational changes or user requirements via myitportal tickets.
10. schedule preventive maintenance for company-owned equipment in the delivery service inventory.
11. support bi and ia teams in project implementations.
12. perform audits to ensure software licensing compliance and proper documentation retention as per corporate and legal requirements.
13. prepare annual budgets for it resources, considering new technologies for efficiency and cost savings.
14. report on total cost of ownership and monthly operational costs to assist in budgeting and objectives.
15. ensure data backup procedures are followed and files are restorable, supervising the configuration of latest version options in file servers.
16. manage tickets system effectively.
17. report on electrical installations to ensure protection from power variations.
18. control software licenses and supplier contracts for the business unit's applications, excluding delivery services.
19. maintain control over access codes and passwords, following cybersecurity procedures.
20. establish, supervise, and test the data recovery plan (drp) at least annually.
21. support compliance with personal data protection laws and implement controls for critical information.
22. align with quality and it standards, implementing preventive and corrective actions, and ensuring proper documentation and property custody.
23. ensure physical security of backup locations, servers, and critical materials to prevent unauthorized access and ensure operational continuity.
24. manage electronic access controls to restrict access to it areas.
25. support ctpat and oea compliance processes.

for this role, you will need:
* degree in systems or telecommunications engineering
* english proficiency at 90%
* interpersonal and leadership skills
* experience with mrp systems
* demonstrable 5 years of relevant experience
preferred qualifications that set you apart:
