your role
as the global business development manager for mining and mro (repair and overhaul facilities), you will initiate, develop, and drive activities to strategically position us as the market leader. Working closely with the marketing team for smart bolting, you will develop and execute our go-to-market strategies in target industries and accounts. You will be responsible for driving the implementation of new technology into the mining and mro market.
key activities
* conduct market mapping and analysis
* ensure a clear value proposition for our target industries and accounts
* actively drive our key account strategy
* support and guide local customer centers' sales management and teams
* identify and collaborate with channel partners to implement a successful channel strategy
* drive key market activities to increase sales, pipeline, market share, and profitability
as leaders in smart factory solutions, your task is to bring these innovative concepts to the field, adapt them to the circumstances, and make them a reality that generates value for the customer. This role involves significant field presence to understand customer challenges and present solutions.
location
the role can be based anywhere that allows active field work, with quick access to our customer base and centers across the region. Preferably, you are based in an area where the mining industry is present.
travel
approximately 30% of the working days per year.
reporting line
this role reports directly to the global business development manager for smart field and is part of the global marketing team for the general industry division.
requirements
* experience working with large international key accounts and proven experience in sales, sales management, and/or business development of technical products and solutions
* an academic technical degree in mechanics, electronics, or mechatronics
* experience in mining processes and industries involving automation, robotics, continuous improvement, and data collection
* excellent communication skills - fluent in english and at least one other major language
* driving license for a car is required
