*purpose*:the precision medicine associate will be responsible for developing and leading janssen's local diagnostics strategy in collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders of the local & regional oncology organization.
the precision medicine associate will shape and optimize the diagnostics environment, and thus should have extensive pharma, oncology and diagnostics experience.
the role requires strong leadership with excellent communication and collaboration skills, in addition to a deep scientific understanding of the precision medicine environment in oncology, diagnostic tests, and the challenges on the testing pathway, enabling tailored testing solutions for our oncology portfolio and pipeline.
*you will be responsible for*:
- develop and lead the local diagnostic strategy, proposing tailored solutions based on market and patients' needs for the current and future oncology products.
- generate diagnostics-related insight and propose plans to shape and support products strategy and tactics, closely collaborating with the medical associates and cvts.
- build in collaboration with cvts current and future competitive advantage by understanding and addressing key customers' needs, and by demonstrating deep understanding of competitors' commercial strategies.
- act with the purpose of always promoting the health and well-being of the patient and ensuring that they are at the center of the strategy (patient centricity).
shape and optimize diagnostics environment
- identify gaps in the current testing scenario and work with key external stakeholders to develop solutions capable of removing or minimizing diagnostic barriers.
- engage all the medical specialties involved in the diagnosis journey, promoting the exchange and dissemination of scientific information of excellence encompassing the multidisciplinary care.
- by using diagnostics related evidence, map educational gaps and needs and perform medical education activities, educating stakeholders involved in the patient's journey.
develop strategic partnerships
- build solid and strategic relationship with national and international opinion leaders, and medical societies in the precision medicine and diagnostics environment.
- lead the evaluation of local diagnostics platforms and technologies, actively seek effective partnerships with excellence centers, government partners, labs and industries to support our diagnostic strategy.
build internal capabilities
- shape internal environment to continue reinforcing and developing internal capabilities required for long-term success in precision medicine.
- act as an educational internal resource by providing diagnostics expertise and guidance for the oncology cvts.
- work closely to each oncology ctv in order to seize opportunities and propose tailored solutions that address gaps in the diagnostic journey.
- educate cvt and other relevant teams on the testing and diagnostic market and business dynamics.
- ensure timely guidance to senior management regarding diagnostic strategy and its impact on targeted therapies strategies.
- establish a productive work environment by creating trust & respect within all oncology therapeutic areas.
