what you'll do
* lead, mentor, and coach a team of property accountants to ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closes for all clients.
* strengthen team performance by maintaining expert‑level knowledge of vantaca and guiding its effective use across the department.
* review workflow processes, analyze team performance, and recommend improvements to senior accounting leadership.
* coordinate and facilitate team meetings that support alignment with department and company goals.
* support monthly training sessions and help develop long‑term training materials for the property accountant team.
* partner with leadership to strategically assign client portfolios and balance workloads across the team.
* compile, analyze, and present key financial and operational metrics to support decision‑making.
* monitor team performance, track kpis, and delegate data collection as needed.
* evaluate closing timelines and ensure team readiness for monthly close cycles.
* maintain and update standard accounting templates to ensure consistency and efficiency across the department.
* assist with inquiries from client board members, offering clarity on accounting processes and resolving outstanding issues.
schedule
regular: monday to friday 9am – 6pm mexico city time
daylight savings: monday to friday 8am – 5pm mexico city time
this position is remote, but you'll be required to visit our offices in cdmx or gdl on the first day (expenses are covered by yourself).*

* 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on leadership roles.
* strong knowledge of gaap, financial management principles, and banking operations.
* strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
* proven ability to manage teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
* advanced english skills, both written & verbal (c1‑c2)
