Overview:
the project enginee is a closely managed, supporting role, that will direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of limited complexity engineering projects in the areas of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties.
functions:
* analyzes customer and internal project requirements and performs standard technical calculations using design, stress, and fatigue life tools.
* performs engineering design evaluations for durability analysis and feasibility and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
* provides technical support for the engineering launch process and contributes to the completion of a project including delivery of development samples.
* performs and supports engineering evaluation and root cause analysis on product failures from validation testing, quality actions and field warranty returns.
* gathers data for and generates technical design records including dfmeas, drawings, boms, and dvp&rs to document outputs of the design process.
qualifications:
* bachelor of science in engineering, preferably mechanical with focus on automotive engineering (abet accredited or equivalent).
* 1-4 years of recent related experience using industry standard tools.
* general mechanical experience with automotive or similar products.
* excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* advance english is a must.
* capability of creating and analyzing fea, working in cad software, and with gd&t.
