this role works closely with production, purchasing, engineering, warehouse, and customer service to ensure customer requirements and production goals are achieved.duties & responsibilities- create, maintain, and update production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
- review sales orders and production requirements to establish job priorities and due dates.
- monitor work orders and production progress to ensure on-time completion and shipment.
- coordinate with purchasing to ensure raw materials and components are available to support production schedules.
- assist in material requirement planning (mrp) activities and system maintenance.
- release and track manufacturing jobs through the production process.
- communicate schedule changes, shortages, delays, and priority updates to appropriate departments.
- work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and warehouse teams to resolve scheduling or material issues.
- monitor inventory levels and help maintain appropriate stock quantities.
- support cycle count and inventory accuracy initiatives as needed.
- review and maintain accurate planning data in erp/mrp systems.
- assist with expediting critical jobs and materials to meet customer delivery requirements.
- participate in production meetings and provide schedule status updates.
- support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and production efficiency.
- maintain company quality standards and compliance with internal procedures.
- adhere to all company safety policies and regulations.
- perform additional duties as assigned by management.qualifications- associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- minimum 2–4 years of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
- knowledge of erp/mrp systems.
- strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- ability to analyze production data and prioritize workload effectively.
- strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- proficient in microsoft office, especially excel.skills & qualifications- attention to detail and accuracy.
- ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
