roles and responsibilities
* create cad models and drawings using company sponsored cad systems.
* work within the guidelines of applicable ge policies and procedures, engineering standards, design customer operating procedures, specifications, government and commercial standards, and special security requirements.
* understand design change documentation and requirements and execute changes.
* define dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing capabilities.
* learn to perform basic stack‐ups.
* understand input from the different engineering disciplines.
* concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met.
* identify process and product improvements.
* self‐check of work.
required qualifications
* bs degree in a related field (mechanical, aerospace, aeronautical, etc.)
* solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
* must be able to maintain a normal day‐to‐day fluid conversation in english on any topic with few mistakes that do not affect clear understanding.
* sound understanding of design principles relevant to function (gd&t, cad).
* presentation skills: ability to communicate across functions.
