job overview
we are seeking a subject matter expert in manufacturing welding processes to ensure quality adherence to engineering specifications and welding requirements. The role involves defining and reviewing welding procedures, processes, and proposing improvements.
key responsibilities
1. define and develop documentation aligned with the quality operating system, including the design and evaluation of welding processes and test methods.
2. conduct failure and cause analysis on welding issues, utilizing problem-solving tools, and serve as a role model in troubleshooting.
3. provide technical support across all materials and various welding technologies such as vacuum, selective, and laser welding.
4. ensure the availability of welding systems, support nondestructive testing procedures, and develop backup methods as required.
5. lead continuous improvement initiatives for welding processes, error proofing, and quality documentation.
6. contribute to improving performance indicators related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, maintenance, and environment.
qualifications
bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, materials engineering, or related fields with demonstrable welding expertise. Leadership skills and behaviors aligned with servant leadership are essential. Experience in the automotive industry, especially in electric vehicles, is desirable.
