*harvesting & logistics supervisor - tn visa*

the harvesting & logistics supervisor is responsible for managing large-scale mushroom harvesting operations and coordinating production logistics to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety and food standards. This position oversees a department of over 200 employees, including supervisors, group leaders, and harvesters. The role requires a strong background in agribusiness or industrial engineering, leadership experience in large agricultural or food production settings, and advanced english proficiency.

*essential functions, supervision & team management*
- directly supervise supervisors, group leaders, and harvesters, ensuring efficient operations across all harvesting areas.
- provide ongoing training, coaching, and support on harvesting techniques, productivity goals, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- monitor performance, attendance, and productivity metrics to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
- address performance or behavioral issues in coordination with hr and management.
- foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

*harvesting operations*
- oversee mushroom harvesting to ensure product is picked at optimal timing for yield and quality.
- ensure compliance with sops, food safety, and company standards.
- inspect harvested mushrooms for size, condition, and quality compliance.
- maintain and inspect harvesting tools and equipment for proper function and safety.

*production logistics & inventory management*
- plan and coordinate daily production schedules and harvesting assignments.
- manage the flow of harvested mushrooms from growing rooms to packing and distribution areas.
- maintain accurate records of yields, volumes, and inventory movements.
- collaborate with cross-functional departments to align schedules and maximize productivity.

*safety, compliance & quality*
- enforce workplace safety standards in accordance with osha, haccp, and gmp regulations.
- ensure correct use of ppe and adherence to all food safety policies.
- conduct regular inspections of harvesting and storage areas.
- support internal and external audits as needed.

*continuous improvement & reporting*
- identify opportunities to improve efficiency, yield, and operational flow.
- prepare reports and communicate key performance indicators to management.
- assist in audit preparation and maintain documentation of daily operations.

*required education and experience*
- *bachelor’s degree in agribusiness or industrial engineering* (required).
- a *valid professional certification or license* in a related field (required).
- *3-5+ years* of experience supervising large teams (200+ employees) in agriculture, mushroom cultivation, or food manufacturing environments.
- experience supervising supervisors or multi-tiered teams.
- strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- *bilingual proficiency (english and spanish)* required for effective communication with a diverse workforce.
- knowledge of *food safety programs (haccp, gmp, sqf, brc)* and workplace safety standards.
- proven ability to manage production planning, logistics coordination, and operational efficiency.

*physical requirements*
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- ability to stand for extended periods in a cool, humid environment.
- capability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.

*work schedule*
- full-time position.
- flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays based on harvest schedules.

Pay: $17,506.00 - $24,496.00 per week
