we are currently looking for a mechanical engineering assistant manager to lead the team of mechanical engineers who work on developing products using core mechanical engineering skills.
*job expectation*:
- work in a global team as a mechanical engineering leader with responsibilities and ownership for mechanical design in value engineering (ve) and component engineering (ce) coe.
- you will be responsible for leading a team of dynamic engineers on value engineering and component engineering activities of warehouse/conveyors product lines.
- primary responsibility also includes leading the value engineering team in assessing and prioritizing cost-out opportunities.
- provide team leadership and timely project execution. Provide timely communications to leadership on significant issues/ risks or developments.
- write assigned processes and procedures as required to drive cost discipline in the business.
- work closely with design and development teams, across different global locations to execute the ve/ce projects and support worldwide honeywell intelligrated' s project activities.
*you must have*:
- bachelor´s degree in mechanical engineering
- english proficiency
- 6 or more years of experience in design and development of mechanical products
- experience as a people leader
*we value*:
- experience in value engineering and component engineering.
- knowledge on value engineering methodologies.
- knowledge of should costing.
- good knowledge & hand on experience in mechanical part & system design.
- have good understanding on different manufacturing processes like plastic injection molding, metal parts machining, casting, sheet metal process, joining methodologies (crimping, welding, brazing, soldering) methodologies.
