general description:
plan and monitor the supply of direct materials aligned with inventory costs and sourcing objectives. Ensure to meet internal customer requirements and production schedules in terms of date and quantity.
*responsibilities*:
- ensure the availability of materials for production based on issued purchase orders.
- coordinate the receipt and storage of materials received from suppliers.
- monitor inventory levels and adjust material orders to avoid excess or shortage.
- maintain constant communication with suppliers to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
- generate periodic reports on inventory status and material demand.
- ensure materials are available for production on time to prevent disruptions.
- coordinate with other departments to adjust orders based on actual production demand.
- propose improvements to material planning processes to increase efficiency.
- implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce associated costs.
*qualifications*
- experienced sap user
- first work experience within logistics
- proficient english (spoken and written)
- strong teamplayer enjoying the work in cross-functional teams
- comfortable working under pressure
