Overview

the account executive will be responsible for developing and growing customer accounts by executing sales of sensitech’s products, services and solutions to the food c&i exportation market in mexico. This includes, but not limited to, all the storage, transfer, distribution and exportation process done inside the mexican territory.


responsibilities

* qualify the customer account and assess their operations, logistics, quality and procurement needs to discover and define opportunities that sensitech can deliver by quarter and over the plan year.
* act as an action-oriented leader who will manage all sales stages from discovery to close.
* develop, own and manage their sales plan within the food c&i market in mexico consistent with sensitech assigned revenue goals.
* present and demonstrate the benefits of sensitech products/services to existing and prospective customers.
* penetrate existing accounts at a high level and grow to maximum potential.
* identify and target new major accounts within the assigned territory and industries.
* manage the opportunity pipeline with salesforce.com crm.
* provide timely, monthly and accurate 90-day rolling revenue forecasts and collaborate with supply chain, client services and operations teams to have an accurate forecast.
* provide activity reports regarding all sales activity for the previous week and planned activity for the following week.
* develop work-in-progress opportunities within the territory to reach the revenue goal and support quarterly and annual plans.
* provide weekly activity reports and trip summary reports.
* provide a weekly operational report that includes revenue and forecast for the current month no later than every friday.
* provide a 12-month forecast of revenue by product type as requested.
* provide other reports as required by management.


competences

* aggressive self-starter with a solid sales track record of outstanding sales performance.
* experience in identifying customer needs and delivering technical and commercial proposals; capable of negotiating to a win/win close.
* able to work with limited resources and make sound business decisions on behalf of sensitech.
* able to manage time effectively to maximize sales productivity.
* american business experience, attitude, and habits; compliance with instructions from management.
* ability to manage sales, customer and market challenges from competition and market dynamics to attain targets.
* must have proven experience selling to the food c&i industry in mexico with good industry contacts.
* highly motivated to reach challenging goals in a short period.
* must be comfortable with a 50% variable component to compensation (sales commission).


required qualifications

* experience in direct sales to customers and distributors.
* ability to listen and understand the customer’s commercial needs and position solutions accordingly.
* at least 10 years of proven success in sales with quota-carrying positions.
* bachelor’s degree in business or a related sales field.
* knowledge of professional sales techniques through training courses.
* must speak english.
* excellent verbal and written communication to clearly convey ideas.
* strong systems skills, ms excel, salesforce (sfdc).


desirable qualifications

* knowledge in sap or similar erp.
* experience in similar industries.
