Principal responsibilities
* responsible for safety, quality health and environmental protection, in accordance to saltillo´s plant integral policy.
* stablishes and communicates the necessary strategies and kpi´s to comply with the business objectives and customer satisfaction.
* implements systems that promote continuous improvement and a strong culture towards quality.
* designs, develops & implements robust quality processes and systems to assure compliance with quality standards, regulations & customer requirements,
* utilizes statistical analysis and data- driven methods to monitor and evaluate process performance, identifying trends, and proactively addresses potential quality concerns.
* leading the quality inspectors team, providing technical & personal support.
* demonstrate technical abilities to assure quality throughout the processes & personal abilities to manage people, as well as internal and external customers.
* coordinate with the plant team, actions plans to reduce or eliminate non-conformities that can lead to risk the product quality.
* take timely decisions regarding non-conforming product, materials, shipments, urgent materials.
* coordinate efforts between areas, to inspect products, or in case re work is needed.
* determines, implements & maintains quality controls on the different processes, to continuously improve its performance, developing quality control plans.
* leads problem -solving initiatives and drives successful outcomes in a fast – paced, dynamic environment.
* works collaboratively with team members for product change request implementation, & value engineering initiatives, providing detailed follow up according to stablished quality requirements.
* leads & supports new product, machine, & process validation activities, including developing protocols, conducting / leading testing, analyzing results & implementing improvements.
* conducts thorough risk assessments to identify potential quality risks and develops risk mitigation strategies.
requirements
* engineering degree (industrial, chemical, or similar)
* 3+ years’ proven expertise as a quality process engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
* fluid written & spoken english.
* high proven expertise in plastic injection processes.
* excellent problem- solving skills and ability to apply structured approaches to root cause analysis and solution development.
* proficiency in statistical analysis software. (minitab)
* strong project management skills.
* familiarity with quality standards & processes. (iso 9001)
* people manager experience.
* continuous learning mindset.
