The ideal candidate combines technical fluency (sql, power bi, excel) with a business intelligence mindset, someone who not only compiles and analyzes complex data but engages directly with content providers, asks the right questions, identifies gaps and trends, and proactively drives insight-based decisions that advance our business goals.key responsibilities:strategic pricing & monetization: design, analyze, and recommend optimal pricing strategies, content bundling, and promotion assortment to maximize customer lifetime value (clv) and content monetization within the saas and publishing model.market & competitive intelligence: lead complex research projects utilizing customer purchase behavior, lifecycle trends, market benchmarks, and comprehensive competitor/content analysis to identify significant business opportunities and solve complex challenges.content acquisition & investment prioritization: develop data-driven recommendations to inform the rights acquisition team on new content investment opportunities, advising where to strategically scale, pause, or optimize content spend for maximum return on investment (roi).cross-functional strategy leadership: act as the primary analytical partner to key stakeholders across product, marketing, rights acquisition, and engineering, translating complex data into clear, concise, and actionable strategic plans that inform business decisions.external partnership engagement: utilize strong client-facing skills to engage directly with critical content providers (publishers, academic organizations, churches) to present market performance data, advocate for pricing/bundling rationale, and support strategic partnership growth.reporting & forecasting: develop and maintain sophisticated data models, dashboards, and forecasts to track the performance and financial impact of all content-related strategies and initiatives.requirements:5+ years of progressive experience in a highly analytical, strategic role such as market research analyst, category analyst, or management consultant, with a focus on pricing, promotion, or content strategy.proven experience in the publishing/media industry and/or with saas or subscription-based business models is strongly preferred. Deep understanding of digital content rights and consumption is a significant advantage.deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and the levers that drive content-based revenue and customer lifetime value.advanced analytical skills with expertise in statistical analysis and modeling. Expert proficiency in sql for complex data manipulation and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., tableau, power bi) are essential.strong communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver high-impact presentations and written reports for executive-level audiences. Must be adept at simplifying complex quantitative findings into compelling, persuasive business narratives.demonstrated success managing simultaneous projects and influencing outcomes across diverse, cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, product, marketing, engineering).bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
