Material Planning Buyer
The Material Planning Specialist is responsible for managing supplier purchase orders issued by DPC and the scheduling requirements in the ERP system. They coordinate with suppliers and ensure the execution of orders for multiple components, subassemblies, raw materials, finished goods, production equipment, and supplies from approved suppliers within assigned product areas used to produce DPC's final products.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for maintaining data integrity for supplier pricing, lead times, and terms and conditions by obtaining validations, uploading, and maintaining them in the system.
-Coordinates purchase orders and demand signals issued from the U.S. manufacturing plant with local suppliers, based on various purchasing methods such as Kanban, MRP, Blanket Orders; obtains supplier confirmation, updates the system, and informs production and planning teams about any supply risks. Expedites supplier deliveries based on changes in demand signals.
-Communicates with suppliers on a daily/weekly basis regarding urgent requirements as well as 1–3 month future demand and lead times, obtaining confirmation on whether requirements can be met, or detailing risks, capacity constraints, raw material restrictions, etc., to identify alternatives and avoid delays or shortages.
-Quickly resolves process-related issues through agile communication and response to material shortages. This includes supplier escalation, logistics acceleration, alternative sourcing, expediting receipts, and ensuring material flow to production in coordination with the DPC supply chain.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in supply chain and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment
Experience in negotiations focused on minimizing supply shortages and overall costs.
Strong self-learning ability and quick adaptation to DPC’s systems, processes, and culture.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably Visual ERP or similar.
Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
CPIM certification or related supply chain certifications.
Advanced English level

Salary: $40,000 to $45,000 MXN gross/month depending on experience.
