job purpose
the procurement coordinator is responsible for implementing sourcing strategies for key raw material categories including oils, fruits, nuts, starches, and derivatives across latam and potentially north america. The role ensures full alignment with the global sourcing strategy while building a resilient, competitive, and sustainable supplier network that supports the ice cream business unit’s growth, profitability, and purpose agenda. This position plays a critical role in delivering value, securing supply continuity, driving portfolio savings, and strengthening strategic supplier partnerships in a dynamic fmcg environment.
Sourcing strategy & supplier network
implement regional sourcing strategies aligned with global category strategies.
Define and manage the preferred supplier list.
Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships focused on value creation and long-term growth.
Conduct supplier scanning and benchmarking to identify competitive opportunities.
Develop and implement market‑specific resilience and risk mitigation plans.
Cost management & value delivery
apply cost modeling tools to analyze supplier cost structures and identify negotiation levers.
Leverage digital tools, analytics, and reporting to strengthen negotiations and opportunity identification.
Lead and deliver portfolio savings targets.
Develop clear cost glidepaths aligned with business financial goals.
Conduct price forecasting and market intelligence analysis to anticipate risks and opportunities.
Contracting & negotiation excellence
lead best‑in‑class contracting processes and commercial negotiations.
Secure competitive terms covering cost, quality, service, and risk mitigation.
Ensure compliance with procurement governance and policies.
Stakeholder & cross‑functional collaboration
partner closely with r&d, supply chain, finance, quality, manufacturing, and business teams.
Translate business requirements into effective sourcing solutions.
Act as the key interface between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Quality, service & performance management
drive supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure quality standards and service levels meet operational requirements.
Safeguard supply continuity across markets.
Sustainability & purpose agenda
embed responsible sourcing practices within assigned categories.
Drive sustainability initiatives with clear cost glidepaths.
Deliver sustainability commitments aligned with ice cream business unit priorities.
Skills, experiences & qualifications
bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain, economics, or related field.
Proven experience in procurement/sourcing within fmcg (fast‑moving consumer goods) environment – mandatory.
Experience managing agricultural commodities or food raw materials is highly preferred.
Strong expertise in cost modeling, financial analysis, and market intelligence.
Demonstrated experience in strategic negotiations and contract management.
Experience operating in multi‑country or regional roles across latam preferred.
