Job description:
a career opportunity is available to manage enterprise reference data maintenance and pricing for a shared service organization. The position involves owning and managing the process, including maintenance of asset classes such as fixed income, equities, derivatives & fx.
the role requires management of market data feeds, both end of day and real time data. Data is obtained from third party vendors and internal tasks are updated to support external and internal data on systems for the mentioned products.
the staff will be involved in maintaining instrument reference data and responsible to support the existing business as usual process.
responsibilities:
* to ensure that all work is delivered within agreed timeframes and meets the required high quality standard
* to deliver a high quality customer driven service which provides customers with a positive view and meets their expectation in terms of accuracy, timeliness and professionalism
* to understand and deliver excellent customer service, process customer instructions accurately to achieve agreed quality standards and targets
* to proactively suggest and design improvements in process workflows
* to identify and escalate common errors / irregular transactions in accordance with procedures in a timely manner
* to understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the group and contained within the group standards manual and functional instruction manuals
* to maintain hsbc internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
* to acquire and update knowledge on procedures related to processes and to ensure that work is completed according to procedures and within timeframes
* to investigate and resolve issues effectively or refer appropriately with recommendations
* to respond quickly to urgent work demands and be flexible with work timings
requirements:
* fluent in english - spoken and written
* proficient in ms office, including excel, access and powerpoint
* knowledge on fixed income, equities, derivatives & fx related products & money market products
* experience with vendor systems - refinitiv & bloomberg data feed
* excellent attention to detail
* ability to work independently
* good knowledge of financial markets and products
* graduate in commerce, finance or equivalent
