The business development specialist is an inbound and outbound inside business development
position for a new solutions technology. The purpose of the role is to engage with leads, prospects, and customer by appealing to their motives and articulating the premium difference of our solution winning new customers and driving sales. The position is a key member of the sales team and is the first point of contact for leads and new
customers.
responsibilities
* supports prospects and customers via webchat.
* completes 40+ calls, emails, and chats a day.
* builds, maintains, and nurtures a master list of leads for two brands.
* contacts targeted companies (cold calls), initiates and follows through on sales process.
* successfully manages and overcomes prospect objections.
* establishes trust and builds relationships with prospects and customers.
* perform technical discovery as a gatekeeper for our application engineers.
* present business solutions to prospective customers over the phone or via webinar.
* identify and properly qualify business opportunities and qualified leads.
* prepares and provides price quotes in a timely manner.
* serves as the principal internal sales person following through and finalizing sales.
* maintains post-sales relationships serving as project manager when required.
* keep abreast of industries, markets, and technologies.
* seeks customer feedback on products and design improvements.
* develop and sustain a working technical knowledge of competitive products.
* perform other special projects or duties as assigned.
* capability to grow into an outside sales position.
* demonstrated results in the solutions-based selling process.
* successful experience in new account development.
* past inside sales experience with electronics solutions.
* excellent communication, presentation, written and negotiation skills.
* self-driven, motivated, confident and results oriented.
* proven prospecting and sales cycle management skills.
* attention to detail and problem solving skills.
* desire to learn.
* proficiency in ms office, crm systems (sugarcrm preferably), and lead management software
* high school diploma or ged; bachelor’s degree in business, or associates degree in electronics or related field is preferred.
* high-level english proficiency (90–100%).
