Job Title: Combustion Turbine Technician
A snapshot of your day includes optimizing the performance of large gas turbines by tuning, troubleshooting, and commissioning them. You will be working on implementing improvements and logic changes in the control system to ensure maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve maintenance issues related to large gas turbines
- Develop a deep understanding of combustion theory and dynamics, particularly in Siemens Energy large gas turbine systems
- Perform advanced combustion tuning procedures on Siemens-Energy SGT6-5000F SGT6-6000G SGT6-8000H frame gas turbines to mitigate pressure fluctuations and enhance performance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and complete service projects ensuring start-up, commissioning operations, and troubleshooting support for equipment failures
- Prepare accurate reports detailing condition assessments, repairs, and recommendations for customer equipment
- Lead and supervise I&C technicians' teams to implement project scopes when required, adhering to established protocols, policies, and competencies of our management system
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a field service commissioning and combustion tuning engineer
- Expertise in troubleshooting, combustion tuning, and commissioning of large gas turbines
- Teamwork, result-oriented risk management, adaptability, and flexibility in an environment with changing requirements and priorities
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn other software as needed
- Flexibility and willingness for domestic and international travel (80%+)
- Working proficiency in English (verbal and written)
