your purpose
your role is crucial in operating, analyzing, and monitoring spei transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations. As the spei ops analyst, you will foster your professional growth by embodying our core values of "drive change" and "be an owner".

who you are
* based in mexico city and able to work from the office.
* 2+ years of experience in operations, treasury, or accounting as an analyst or similar role in financial institutions.
* bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, administration, or related field.
* experience handling payment systems like spei, codi, dimo, spid, or transfers.
* knowledge of payment platforms from praxis, lgec, or ikos, and a good understanding of the mexican financial system.
* proven expertise in spei operations, regulations, certifications, audits, compliance rules, and active e.firma.
* strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools such as excel, access, sql, looker, or similar.
* strategic thinker, adept at using metrics and data for decision-making, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
* highly disciplined, customer-centric, with a sense of urgency and commitment to continuous improvement.
* conversational english skills.
* knowledge of the cryptocurrency or fintech industry is a plus.
what you will do
* monitor the connection to the interbank electronic payments system (spei).
* reconcile spei reports with client databases for operational and accounting purposes.
* operate, analyze, and monitor daily mxn operations, and provide support during outages.
* report balances and execute internal transactions related to spei as instructed by treasury, business areas, and clients.
* engage with internal teams (engineering, legal, compliance, customer support) and external entities (banco de méxico, cnbv, auditors) for spei activities.
* execute spei certifications and maintenance.
* ensure timely responses to requests.
* collaborate on spei projects and participate in their development.
