overview
we are seeking a highly experienced sap functional architect with strong expertise in the plant maintenance (pm) and materials management (mm) modules. This role will drive sap architecture decisions and ensure alignment with best practices and clean-core principles, while guiding integration with external systems such as ibm maximo and middleware platforms (e.g., mulesoft).
responsibilities
* serve as the sap functional/technical architect, leading design decisions for sap pm and mm modules.
* ensure sap architecture aligns with clean-core principles and industry best practices.
* drive integration strategy between sap s/4hana and other enterprise systems, including maximo and middleware platforms.
* challenge and guide cross-functional teams (including maximo) to ensure sap’s requirements are prioritized in architecture decisions.
* provide leadership in functional design, architecture governance, and integration frameworks for asset management, procurement, and spare parts workflows.
* collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure scalable, efficient, and future-ready solutions.
requirements
* proven expertise as an sap functional architect with deep knowledge of pm (plant maintenance) and mm (materials management) modules.
* strong background in enterprise system integration (sap with maximo or other platforms via middleware such as mulesoft).
* demonstrated experience applying sap clean-core principles in large-scale implementation projects.
* ability to influence and challenge non-sap teams to align integration with sap best practices.
* fluency in spanish and english (verbal and written).
* strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* must be based in monterrey, mexico.
nice to have
* experience with ibm maximo integration projects.
* familiarity with sap integration tools (btp, pi/po, cpi) and enterprise data synchronization.
