context of the role- diageo mexico is the number 1 value spirits company in mexico, with the most valuable- diageo mexico has a clear vision of be recognized as one of the top 3 sales forces within the cpg companies and #1 in the on trade.- diageo has a solid position as market leader into the growing category of whisky.
we want to get strengthen our position in whisky category, but at the same time we have decided to expand our relevance and continue with our value creation strategy by entering in some other categories, such as tequila, rum and vodka.- to accurate take on these challenges, we have to accelerate our commercial capabilities, so we are able to meet customers expectations and achieve our ambitious business goals
financial- responsible for 2 wholesalers customers and distributions centres.- on trade rewards, hotel plan & incentive plan champion.- trade investment management.
leadership responsibilities:
- own of the commercial relation with the customer, influencing commercial customer team, replenishment team, and able to bring up customer top management team conversations.- in charge of the buildup and collaboration of the joint business plan and multi-year strategy.- responsible to lead a multi-functional team (cpfr, c&c, cp&a off trade and cp&a reserve, operations) to deliver full p&l and service important metrics for the account.- responsible for the full investment and commercial planning and execution to deliver aop.- value business creation with our team across the globe.- lead multi-functional teams (cp&a, finance, supply, marketing, on trade & operations) to develop, execute and measure all jubp activities.- become a strategic partner and preferred supplier for wholesale customers.- comply with all carm processes
purpose of the position:
- efficiently lead the overall p&l and jbp critical metrics for wholesalers accounts- develop and/or reinforce current customer relationship- build value to the customer and to diageo through efficient, profitable and shopper oriented activities.- improve budget in sell out activities and implement it within guidelines.- enable operational teams to achieve excellence in execution at pos.- able to analyze information (sales, margins, stock, pricing, competition, trends, etc.)
to generate deep insights and propose solutions.- be a key contributor of search and spin within wholesale channel.
accountabilities:
- achieve the strat plan volume and gross profit targets (gsv, nsv, ts, mix, min.
assortment, etc.
)- ensure brilliant execution of the diageo brands by growing market share, share of shelf, share of exhibitions, and ensure brilliance in service critical metrics (oos, fill rate, etc.
)- build appointed joint customer plans in accordance with agreed business objectives, cds and trade strategy.- bring to life the dwo (sales drivers, structured call, persuasive sell, klardoc, ode).- understand the customer and shopper to get insights and transform them into actionable plans.- co-creation of sell out promotional plans in order to grow sov for diageo.- load and handle po & listing vaps, in & out, diageo portfolio.
requirements: essentials- commercial experience from 1-6 years- fully capable in diageo way of selling.- confirmed analytical, planning and influential skills, as well as critical thinking.- excellent written and verbal communication skills.- demonstrate proactivity, initiative and determination- understanding of multifunctional interdependencies within diageo.- handle priorities accurately.- basic financial understanding.- proficient office
