about the role
we are seeking an experienced and highly organized operations manager to oversee daily operations for our moving and service-based company. The ideal candidate has a strong background in service industry management, logistics coordination, and team leadership. This role requires hands-on supervision of crews, scheduling, and customer service to ensure efficient, high-quality, and professional service delivery.
key responsibilities
* manage and oversee day-to-day operations of moving crews, drivers, and service teams.
* coordinate job scheduling, dispatching, and route optimization to maximize efficiency.
* supervise and train staff to maintain high service standards and company policies.
* monitor job progress and ensure timely, safe, and professional service execution.
* maintain quality control and address customer issues promptly and effectively.
* develop and implement operational systems and procedures for improved performance.
* manage company assets, including vehicles, equipment, and inventory.
* collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and job execution.
* track kpis such as completion rate, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction.
* oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation to optimize operational costs.
* ensure compliance with safety standards, dot regulations, and company protocols.
* prepare regular operational and performance reports for senior management.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in business, operations management, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
* minimum 3–5 years of experience in operations management within a service-based company (moving, logistics, field services, cleaning, or similar industry).
* proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
* strong knowledge of scheduling, dispatching, and workflow management.
* excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
* proficient in microsoft office and operations software (crm, scheduling, or dispatch tools).
* ability to manage multiple priorities and make quick, effective decisions.
* knowledge of fleet and equipment management is an advantage.
