about the role
the primary duties of the territory manager are to facilitate the implementation of end user conversion programs, new product launches, and research market trends. The role involves demonstrating system solutions, providing expert product knowledge to national organizations and end users, and executing strategic initiatives to engage top professional end user accounts within assigned markets to capture market share, grow sales, and build strong relationships.
responsibilities
increase sales, market share, and profit within a specific geographic territory.
coordinate efforts with local sams and territory representatives to target key professional end users.
build value-added relationships with key organizations and end users.
develop comprehensive knowledge of the market, including users, applications, products, competition, and channels.
operate within the budget guidelines established by the regional manager.
identify and pursue opportunities to convert competitive products to the milwaukee brand.
deliver product presentations and provide hands-on experiences.
collaborate with local service centers to deliver system solutions.
focus on promoting new products and solutions.
support regional and national organizations through training and initiatives.
work with product management to identify new product opportunities.
serve as an expert on milwaukee's product line and competitors' products.
provide support through product training, event participation, and joint sales calls.
develop relationships with professional tool system users at jobsites, offices, or tool cribs.
continuously learn and apply milwaukee's consultative process in sales development.
assist in training, coaching, and mentoring efforts by the regional manager.
support strategic corporate branding and marketing initiatives.
cultivate end user demand and brand champions through calls, programs, and training.
engage with trade schools and apprenticeship programs to attract new end users.
utilize available resources to put tools in the hands of end users.
provide feedback to corporate management on product and application trends, quality, competition, and market acceptance.
qualifications
bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a business-related field.
at least three years of sales or related experience preferred.
proficiency in computer skills and microsoft office applications.
effective communication skills, broad business perspective, and market awareness.
valid driver's license and ability to travel 40% of the time, including extensive road travel.
spanish speaking abilities are preferred.
