as an *operations manager*, a key member of the wallenius wilhelmsen management team, you will support the general manager in our fast-paced vehicle processing center (vpc).
*job description*:- supervise and coordinate all operational activities of the company, regarding the reception of inputs, execution of the process and transformation of outputs, towards the fulfillment of organizational objectives.- manage and coordinate the interdisciplinary team, including superintendents, supervisors and operational personnel.- lead and develop work teams, assigning responsibilities, to achieve the operation's service objectives.- ensure that high quality standards are maintained in all company services and processes.- manage the human, financial and material resources necessary for the effective functioning of our operation.- control budgets and operating costs that are inputs for the company.- capitalize on the services provided by the company to the various customers.- collaborate with other support departments to ensure effective communication in logistics services.- work closely with operations and sqe superintendents focused on achieving organizational kpi's (safety, quality, cost and delivery).- to be the link between middle management and senior management.- encourage the development of best practices to achieve organizational objectives.- review compliance with the monthly production plan shared with the customer.- review compliance to the production schedule in conjunction with quality, warehouse, engineering, maintenance, accessories, distribution, logistics, human resources and systems personnel.- reports compliance with the operation program according to the frequency established by the customer.- approval of purchases and services for the operation.- request countermeasures and reflection of any accident, incident, nearmiss, quality or process deviations.- oversee the efficiency of operational and support processes.- participate in strategic planning and goal setting for various business functions including it and customer support.- ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.- leads follow-up on preventive actions and corrective actions on the comprehensive management system.- analyze the company's problems in financial, administrative, personnel, accounting among others.- promotes the contribution to the reduction of environmental aspects and impacts
