Purpose statement: to support and partner with team members in overseeing, processing and reviewing a variety of accounting information and reports for the company, ensure the accurate accruals and reporting accuracy of other assets and liabilitieskey job accountabilities:- works closely with accounting manager in establishing and maintaining tools and processes related to accounting reporting- reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis including proper documentation and appropriate work papers- prepare weekly and month end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances- reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with sox requirements- analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy, extraordinary or unusual items- prepares operational metrics and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends- analyze forecasted versus actual results on a monthly basis and assist in reconciling variances between them.additional accountabilities:- assist with the preparation of audit requirements.- review monthly reconciliations performed by other accountants- supports the manufacturing sites with margin analysis and issue resolution.- assist other corporate and site department when required- provide backup for accounting- additional duties as assigned.education/experience qualifications:- a minimum of bachelor's degree is required; a master's level coursework is preferred.- five (5) years of related experience is required; one (1) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.other qualifications:- excellent math skills- excellent verbal and written communication skills- proficient in microsoft office excel- jde experience a plus- able to work independently and in a team environment- problem solving skills- accounting, sox, nif, usgaap, audit procedures.work environment:- the work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
