as an it project specialist ii, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope and budget. You will collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor project activities. Your experience in project coordination will be essential in identifying risks, resolving issues, and optimizing project workflows. Essential duties and responsibilities:
* responsible for planning, managing, and leading small and medium projects that will significantly impact single domain and functional areas, delivering strategic value to the business.
* ability to manage small to medium-scale projects simultaneously. Strategy work with a focus on execution.
* develop best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning & execution and key performance metrics.
* introduction to project management tools (clarity, ms projects, jira, etc.).
* assist in creating, organizing, and maintaining project documentation (project plans, raid logs, etc.) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
* collaborate with project management peers and other team members, sharing knowledge, insights, and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
* stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging project management technologies, seeking learning opportunities to grow and develop in the role.
* governance implementation: apply project governance principles in daily activities, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.
* developing agile and waterfall project management skills.
* perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice. Qualifications: education: high school diploma or vocational training or trade school. Preferred certification(s): agile certification. Experience: 1+ years of relevant and practical experience managing multiple small- to medium-sized projects. Special skills:
